Members In Good Standing

Demand notices are sent in December and members are expected to renew their membership in January of the following year. In May, prior to the commencement of the Accountants’ Week celebrations, a list of members in good standing are published in the dailies.

In the case of renewal of practise certificate, demand notices are sent in September and licenses of deserving members issued in January. In April, a list of members in practice is sent to regulatory authorities such as the banks, IRS, insurance companies, Registrar General’s.

The Department also has the responsibility of maintaining a database of chartered accounting/auditing firms in the country. The completed registration form should contain the following details:

  • Name of Managing Partner
  • Names of other Partners, if any
  • Location and postal address of firm
  • Type of service offerings
  • Continuing partnership arrangements
